Many of you who currently reside in California are well aware that November 4th’s presidential / state elections involved several key propositions involving animal rights, human rights, transportation, and efficient energy. What is ironic about the outcome is that, at the end of the day, caged slaughterhouse chickens will now be required by law to stretch out and more for at least an hour per day. Gays in the state, however, are no longer allowed to be married according to the state constitution. In this article, I will discuss the implications of these issues.

Should the educational world abandon C++?
I have recently graduated college with a Bachelor’s in computer science and like many before me I learned the fundamentals of my programming skills through C++. Recently I have learned that my school, along with many others, are replacing the core teachings of programing, which includes data structures, object oriented programming and algorithms, with a higher level language such as Java. This article is an explanation of why I believe c++ as a core study of computer science should not be replaced.
